Educated in the US with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and with a family exposure to real estate and contracting business, Joseph Mouawad brings a simple and efficient management style to real estate development business, empowering his management and allowing them the freedom to be creative and effective. In 1996 Joseph Mouawad established Mouawad investment group (MIG) who positioned its trademark of excellence through high caliber, unique real estate development projects, with 300% growth to date.

Along with its real estate development activity, MIG participated through its sister company Mouawad-Eddé, the entire infrastructure works of the Beirut Central District, a $700 million plan for the reconstruction of Down Town Beirut.

From residential and commercial properties to hotels, resorts and contracting projects, MIG has diversified its areas of service to achieve over $300 million in projects. The quality and individuality of these projects are proof of Mouawad Projects’s success.

From 1991 – 2002, MIG continued to outdo itself from one project to the next, each featuring unique luxury aesthetics and practicality to suit all markets and enjoying prime locations. These include a professional edifice of luxury residential complexes, commercial projects, hotels and resorts in many areas of Lebanon, Ehden Country Club, in Ehden, a combination of a hotel and health club with a total built-up area of 20,000 sqm, Country Lodge in Bsalim - Metn, a health club with a total built-up area of 20,000 sqm, Majzoub 755, in Bsalim - Metn an adapted residential project with (2,500sqm BUA) at a total cost of USD 2 million.

Two residential complexes:

Parc Jadev (4.5 million), a total built-up 10,000sqm and Primavera (6 million), a total built-up area 15,000; and finally La Plaza (7 million), a commercial project of a total built up area of 26,379sqm.

Park Tower Suites (USD 10 million), a suite hotel in Ashrafieh, with a total built-up area of 16,000sqm.

Burj Al Ghazal (USD 12 million), an office building in Tabaris, with a total built-up area of 23,000sqm.

The Atrium (USD 18 million), another major state of the art office and commercial building in the heart of Beirut Central District, a total built-up of area of 15,000sqm.

All these above reputable projects were successfully delivered and met people’s expectations.

From 2002 till today, MIG invested in four major real estate development projects in Lebanon. These projects consist of luxurious residential and commercial projects managed, executed and marketed through fully-owned subsidiary, Mouawad Business Associates, MBA, which specializes in development management.

MBA gathers specialized skills from marketing, finance, administrative, fiscal and accounting professionals to construction engineers, master planners, market researchers and sales programmers. It also provides property management services. Bolstered by its affiliation with several sister and subsidiary companies, all specializing in real estate and construction related activities, MIG enjoys a distinct synergy in the Lebanese market.

Besides, MIG is a major shareholder in Banamo Investments Holding, Sal, which fully owns Banamo Estates, Sal, Banamo realty, Sal, Saifi Pearl, Sal, Saifi Suites, Sal and Mina Two, Sal.

Banamo Estates, Sal, has developed one of the most luxurious residential project, The Pavilions, in the area of Wadi Abu Jmil – BCD, an 18,000sqm of built-up area at a total cost of USD 40 million, the project is planned to be delivered by end of 2008.

Banamo Realty, Sal, has developed a luxurious residential project, The Capital Gardens, in the area of Mina El Hosn – BCD; a 10,000sqm of built-up area at a total cost of USD 22 million, the project was successfully delivered in 2007.

Saifi Pearl, Sal, is developing a 3rd luxurious residential project, the Saifi Pearl in the area of Jemmayze, a 17,000sqm of total built-up area, at a total cost of USD 23 million. The project is expected to be delivered by end 2009.
Close to Saifi Pearl, the Saifi Suites, another suite hotel at a total cost of USD 9 million.

Finally, Mina Two, Sal, is currently developing a luxurious mixed use development in the heart of the BCD – Mina El Hosn area, The Palladium, a 14,000sqm of total built up area, at a total cost of USD 20 million. The project is planned to be delivered by mid 2010.

Mouawad Projects, is now considering new projects outside Beirut, and has purchased two prime lands in Faqra – Kaferzebian. The projects will be launched in year 2009.
